Edward Levesque's Kitchen
Once again, I took advantage of Winterlicious and had dinner last night at Edward Levesque's Kitchen.
For starters, I had a Baked Feta Salad. It was dressed with fig syrup and pomegranate seeds which gave it a wonderful and fruity sweet flavour. There were also freshly toasted walnuts that were still warm and toasty. Underneath all the green was a piece of baked feta which pungent while not being too overpowering. I can easily say that it was the BEST salad I have ever had. It was that good.
The appetizer set the standards very high and the main course did not disappoint either. I opted for the Grilled Lamb Sausage. The sausages were very flavourful but it was a little overdone for my taste (i like rare meat). The sausages were complimented with apricot mustard, interestingly sweet and goes quite with lamb. Underneath it all were sautéd diced veggies and beluga lentils.
And to wrap things up, dessert was a Caramelized banana mousse. At first, it just tasted like a cookies/cream protein shake with bananas but after a while, i noticed how smooth the mousse was and it had a wonderful banana aroma and flavour.
Overall, i quite enjoyed this dinning experience. The only complaint i have is that their portions are small and its surprising how un-filling this 3 course meal was. But i cant really blame them for focusing on quality rather than quantity as this meal was exceptional and lived up to expectations.
***Oh and the place was extremely dark. I was surprised that i got the pictures to turn out. I guess my camera is more capable than i give it credit for ;)
