KFC Double Down
Yes, I bought one today. Had to try it since its available in Canada for a limited time. Grabbed the combo with the fries and drink which ended up to be quite expensive for a small "sandwich", but at least its two pieces of real chicken breast instead of mechanically separated poultry.
Overall, it was not worth it, and it didnt taste very good. Chicken was salty, the bacon was salty, the cheese was salty.... just a shitload of soidum

Feelin' So Fly Like a... WestJet
Yes thats right. Had the opportunity to shoot Brent's G35 yesterday at a location that was quite unique. Rest can be seen here
Lunch At Messini
Was in the area and dropped by Messini' Authentic Gyros on danforth today for lunch. Cant complaine when theres all this food for $15. Can easily feed 2 people. Had a greek salad with generous amounts of feta and olives (some places cheap out on this) as well as rice, pita and two big lamb gyros and fries wraps.

Stew
I dont know what this thing is called but I had a korean pot stew thing yesterday at Thumbs Up Korean Eatery. It had noodles, rice cakes, spam, sausages, kimchi, veggies, etc etc inside. Sad to say, my new phones camera didnt do so well in the given light.

Mexico 66
Yup, I got a pair of Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 in black and white today. Most new shoes dont feel very comfy until worn in but these feel great out of the box. I cant imagine how much more comfy they can get after some use. An excellent pair of shoes in terms of both comfort and style. Only downside is that the price was slightly over my "new shoe budget"

New Phone... bitches
Yes thats right... I got a Blackberry Torch 9800. Its an AT&T phone since its not officially for sale here in Kanada yet. Despite what some reviews might say, I find this phone to be terrific (my opinion might be biased towards BB's and coming from an 8900, anything will be a terrific upgrade).
Time to retire my beloved 8900 that I've used for the past two years.

Steve's UberAwesome TSX
I can finally post it here as the pics have been just "published". Definitely one of the cleanest TSX's in Canada... if not all of North America.
Rest of my pics can be seen here

Paradiso
Had the opportunity to have dinner last night at Paradiso in Oakvile. Nice little italian place with good atmosphere.
Started off with a nice loaf of italian bread dipped in a tangy, garlicy olive oil and balsamic mix.
Then moved onto the real appetizers with mussels in a reduced white wine sauce as well as some bruschetta.
As for main course, i opted for a braised wild boar gnocchi, which turned out to be very creamy, flavourful and filling
The place is apparently really famous for their desserts too but I didnt have room left for any desserts :(

Taste of Danforth
Went to the 'Taste of Danforth" street festival for some food. Heres what I had....
"Gyro wrap. Kalyvia has always been one of my favs on danforth so i dropped for a wrap
Baby back ribs at this place. Wasnt very "greek" but sure was the highlight of the day
I didnt feel like finishing off with a cream pie (no pun intended) so i got a spinach pie instead.
Overall, the food was decent the prices were not any cheaper than usual. Would considering attending again next year

Dinner at Siddhartha
I've developed a fond taste for indian food lately so last night, I headed over to Siddhartha, supoosedly one of the more famouse places in "Little India" (Gerrard/Coxwell area).
Had their buffet menu which included all sorts of curry, tikka masala, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, saag, veggies, rice, naan etc.
And the other best part of indian food is the dessert. Loved those syrup soaked timbits things and the rice pudding

Yesterday's Lunch
Had nothing better to do so I headed down to the St. Lawrence Market for lunch. Grabbed lunch at the famous carousel bakery (reviewed and liked the great Emeril). Their world famous pea meal back bacon on a bun was a must. Also tried an italian chicken parmigiana and eggplant sandwich which was also delectable.

Not my best work given the short time i had with the car and the lack of locations but the subject more than makes up for it. Pics can be seen here

Mississauga Rib Fest
Grabbed some food from the Rib Fest at Mississauga City Hall. Some stand (dont recall the name) had a slab of rib/pulled pork/chicken special for $40. I got that along with some fresh chips and an onion blossom. Ribs were amazingly tender and all the meat had a very pungent and sweet sauce. But everything lacked "smoky-ness"
All in all: Delicious at first, disgusting later on... cant wait to go back for more (similar to All Star Wings)

Import Expo
The first ever Import Expo was organized and held this past weekend at Mosport DDT. Relatively good turn out. Due to the blazing sun and scorching heat, I pretty much sat in the shade during the whole event. Didn't take that many pictures but as OptionJDM's official/unofficial camera guy, I snapped a few and here they are

A Proper Teg
Kris' DC2. Rest of the pics can be seen here Was damn hot this week so this was one of my toughest shoots to date. Also my first time doing something illegal for a photoshoot (trespassing doesn't count). I managed block a lane and rigged on an open road :)

Amuse'd
Had the opportunity to do a few snap of Chris' Amuse S2000. One 2 in Toronto with full Amuse kit (that I know of) and definitely the nicest S2000 in Toronto. The rest can be seen here.

Paul and Sandy's Real BBQ
After reading all the hype about this place on here, I knew i had to try it out. Luckily, I found myself in Etobicoke yesterday after some business related matters and decided to head over to Paul and Sandy's.
Just a mom&pop diner located at 4925 Dundas St. W but can get busy at times. Chatted with Paul about his BBQ techniques. Apparently, they smoke all their meats out back with hickory wood imported from the south and their meat is always slow cooked overnight, sometimes taking up to 18hrs.
Ordered their pulled pork sandwich for lunch, which turned out to be the smokiest thing I've ever had. It wasn't so much a flavour but rather an after-taste, but the flavour of the hickory smoke went really well with their home made BBQ sauce. The texture was also very stringy without being tough or dry (hard to explain).
Also got a small slab of ribs to try. Also had a very smokey flavour with fall-off-the-bone meat and a somewhat crunchy outer crust.
The only downside to this meal was the fact that their prices are pretty high, which I think could be justified by the care and attention they put into slow cooking their meat. Also, no free parking in front of their store. I will definitely be back for their beef briskets as Paul says its one of their signature items. I've tried grilled food at many places but I rarely eat southern BBQ. This might sound a little redundant but this is the best BBQ I've ever had.

Going Wide
Its that time again.... to show off my latest purchase. I always knew that a wide angle lens is something I've wanted/needed. Its not until recently that I finally put together sufficient fundings to afford one. Found a good deal for a used one off craigslist and I cant wait to put it to use for future shoots. Heres a picture of the box, seem through the glass of my latest purchase.
