New wheels are on
After fine tuning the ride height adjustments and trying on various tire sizes, i found the optimal compromise between form/function. Now the tires dont (always) rub the fenders anymore and its relatively drivable on smooth roads. Snapped a few pics as i didint have time for an actual photo session. The rest of the pics can be seen here
Tonight's Late Dinner
Had to write my last exam tonight which ended at 9, so i told my mom to save me dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by a box of unagi don (bbq eel rice) and some left over sushi by the time i got home. I have no idea where it was purchased from but as a result of my hunger, it was dericious

Prime Rib Sandwich
Last night, i had the opportunity to have dinner at Canyon Creek Chop House. As always, a meal at Canyon Creek starts off with a warm loaf of wholegrain bread with the most dericious honey butter in the world. In my attempt to eat healthier, i started off with a garden side salad with balsamic vinaigrette instead of the usual fries with my entree.
Then came the prime rib sandwich. Canyon Creek, along with the (now out of business) Outback, makes excellent prime ribs and what better way is there to eat it but on a bun. The creamy horseradish and gravy completed the package.

Thumbs Up Korean Eatery... again
Yup, again. Love this place for its good value. But instead of the typical pork bone soup and bibimbap, i had something different today.
A seafood pancake, with flour/egg batter fried with various shrimp/squid/muscles/etc in it. I always thought this was a japanese dish but i guess the koreans have their own variation and its not bad, although i prefer the japanese version.
Also tried their kimchi stew with spam, sausages, veggies and instant noodles. Nothing spectacular but was quite decent with all the things combined. Makes a nice warm meal on a cold day.

Biking Adventure... part 1
Studying for exams make me dizzy so i had to take a break and go out for some fresh air. Headed over to a nearby trail to do some biking. I knew how to ride and have been cycling since i was like 6yrs old but it wasnt until today that i had a taste of cross country mountain biking. This particular trail is probably average at most but seemed quite difficult for a beginner like myself. I even had to lower my seat post all the way, sacrificing pedalling efficiency for the much needed balance.
Hopefully, my skills will progress as i had to get off and walk through most of the more challenging obstacles. There were even some jumps and teeter totters built by locals. Despite being tempted to try them out, I'll save it until i can ride properly. The angle of the picture does not do it justice, as it was at least a 10ft drop.
But overall, it proved to be fun and i will be back often since this trail is (relatively) close by. Its quite scenic and relaxing to ride, shame i didnt have a proper camera on me.
I made lunch today
Yes i did. Spanish rice, sausages and roasted yellow peppers. I figure'd its blog worthy since i dont cook often

Syogun Japanese Cuisine
Tonight, i had dinner at Syogun Japanese Cuisine on Woodbine/south of Hw7 (beside Costco). I usually dont fancy all you can eat places but this one was quite decent. They had little rooms where you sat on the floor providing a Japanesy atmosphere. Food came and gone throughout the entire meal so i wasnt able to document everything. Oh well
I Won
Just as this year's Roll Up The Rim To Win contest at Tim Hortons is comming to an end, i bought a large coffee and won. The odds were pretty much against me but it feels good knowing i won something after spending all my money buying coffee in the last month.

Perfect Chinese Restaurant
My mom was too lazy(as always) to cook dinner so we headed out to the Perfect Chinese Restaurant for dinner. The owner of the place just lives a block down the street from us so we always get a decent discount there. I usually dont blog about food i eat with my parents but was peer pressured into doing so.
We ordered one of their combos which included(clockwise from the bottom):
-Stir fried lotus roots
-Sweet/Sour pork chops
-Sea bass fillet with snow peas
-Baby bok choy with chinese mushroom sauce
-Lobster/Crab
-Peking roast duck; the skin of the duck was sliced off and eaten with pancakes (in the middle), spring onions, and hoisin sauce
Oh and of course there was the usual chinese red bean dessert soup for dessert. Too sweet and too watery for my taste.

Thumbs Up Korean Eatery
Once again, i had lunch yesterday at Thumbs Up Korean Eatery. One of my favourite places it eat downtown due to decent meals at exceptional prices (especially during their lunch special). Ordered the classics: pork bone soup, korean fried dumplings. But decided to try their dukboki this time. The pork bone soup and dumplings were delicious as always but the dukboki was kind of disappointing as it was just rice sticks stir fried with hot sauce.

New (to me) Bike
I wanted to take up biking this summer as an alternative cardio exercise to running on a treadmill. So i picked up a used Norco Wolverine. From what others have said, its a good entry level Hardtail for cross country/street/general usage. I also got it for a decent price.
