Lunch at Arirang Korean BBQ Restaurant

One of my fav places to have korean BBQ. The meat they use is of very high quality and its accompanied by many side dishes along with rice and lettuce wraps. I loved their marbled sirloins and their beef short ribs cut and unravelled around the bone. Unfortunately, they are quite a bit pricer than your average lunch. Good thing i didint have to pay.

My Laptop has a New Home

Time to show off my latest purchase. I needed a new bag for when I am on-the-go so i picked this up yesterday. Narrowed down my choices to a Lacoste messenger bag and the Crumpler Dreadful embarrassment. Even though I'm sure the Crumpler would have been more useful/practical, i ended up with the Lacoste because i love how sleek it is. So small, yet it fits my laptop perfectly and a few other random things

Cards

So while doing another client's cards, my printing supplier suggested i had room on the sheet to put in some of my own cards and run it through the press at the same time. So while these arnt the best, they were free so i could not complain. Everybody tries too hard with their card design which ends up too messy and busy. Instead, we went for a simple clean look (too plain?). Hard to notice in the pictures but the logo is also embossed.

Installed

My previous post showed off my latest purchase. Now that I have them installed, heres what the finished product looks like. Low enough? Or shall i go lower?

New York City

So i just got back from NYC two days ago. The internet at the hotel didnt allow me to upload pics so i will now make a rather long blog entry to recap the highlights.

TIme Square
Got there the first night before it started to rain. Snapped some pics on the way.

Kats Deli
Went to Kat'z Deli for lunch the next day. Its a very well known deli in NYC that has been in business for over 100yrs. THe wall of the place is filled with pictures of famous folks who have eaten there in the past (Fat Joe, Judge Judy, Nick Lachey, Mayor Guiliani, Ron Jeremy, Casts of Law&Order, Mike Myers, etc) just to name a few. The Philly Cheesesteak was pretty good but the best part was the pastrami sandwich. I can easily say its the best pastrami I've ever had and would take it over a steak anyday. Unfortunately, their prices were quite expensive

Grand Central Station
There were always police patrolling the place and there were men from the Army standing at every big entrance. Its my first time ever seeing a real assault riffle.

Rockafeller Center

American Museum of Natural History
Yup, its the one in "Night at the Museum". The place was HUGE and there were so much to see. I could literally spend a few days there if i actually took in all the educational info they had.

IHOP
Finally tried out one of Michael Scott's favourite places to eat

Macy's in Manhattan
Located at 7th Ave and 34th St, one of the biggest departments stores in the world and definitely one of the biggest I've ever been in. Oh, they also had wooden escalators...

Wall Street Charing Bull

Dunkin Donuts
A breakfast sandwich made with waffles... doesnt get anymore amerikan than that

Ex-World Trade Center

Grimaldi's Pizzeria
Legend has it that when Frank Sinatra was in Vegas, he had Grimaldi Pizza flown out to him because it was that good. Located under the Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn, its a "Must" for anybody visiting New York. Name 1 of the top 5 pizza places in the United States by the food network, their pizza's are exceptional in taste because of their coal oven and their use of fresh ingredients. Prices are also very reasonable.

The NBC Experience Store
Before i left, i visited the NBC Experience Store beside the Rockafeller building. Couldnt resist buying some "The Office" merchandise.

Thats all for now. The rest of the pics can be seen here.

Dinner at Cracker Barrel

Some of the avid readers of my blog would know, I will be spending the rest of the week in NYC. After driving for several hours, i decided to stop for dinner in Syracuse NY. Pulled off Interstate 81 and went to Cracker Barrel. They dont have these things in Kanada and I've always wanted to try it. Ordered a root beer and a 10oz Rib Eye Steak dinner. It came with a salad with bluecheese dressing (with actual big chunks of bluecheese) and a baked potato. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had for $12.99(USD). And since it is Amerika, the portions are huge and i love that.

Chick N' Joy

Lunch today at Chick N' Joy. Shared a 5 piece dinner which came with 5 pieces of chicken, fries and a small macaroni salad. Oh there was also a toasted bun with great buttery flavours and a small serving of beef gravy for dipping. It was very yummy. Fries were fresh and crunchy similar to fries at Costo. The Chicken had a flavourful, lightly breaded skin similar to KFC while retaining a juicy center similar to Popeyes. The gravy was an add-on for an extra dollar but it was well worth it as their gravy made the meal that much better

Congee

If you know me, you will know that im not a big fan of congee. But congee at Wong Sam Kee is an exception. Located in Market Village, this place serves congee and other traditional chinese "breakfast" food. I had a minced beef congee with rice noodle wrapped around fried dough sticks. Dericious
